Chris started his career as a science student at Canterbury University…

It wasn’t long, however, before he realised that his growing juggling hobby was far more enjoyable than his university studies!

Graduating with a BSc in Biochemistry, Chris immediately became New Zealand’s most over-qualified professional juggler and went on to train extensively in circus skills in both New Zealand and Australia.

Chris discovered his love for CrossFit about 4 years ago and has never looked back.

After competing in a wide range of sports – triathlon, duathlon, cross country and marathon running, volleyball, and netball – I found CrossFit!

I’m feeling fitter than I have done in years – the constant variation and focus on all dynamics of fitness has given me more confidence in myself and my body. I am stronger, faster and more flexible than I have ever been.

The community is what first attracted me to CrossFit Christchurch, and is what makes us stand out. The support and motivation I get from members at CrossFit Christchurch makes me train harder and pushes me to my limits.

I am passionate about helping people gain greater fitness, confidence, and all round health.

Louisa worked in Fitness Administration in the UK before changing careers and becoming a chef. She is happy to be back in the gym environment and really loves the community and support created at CrossFit Christchurch.

Personally she enjoys working out as a hobby and has competed in Bodybuilding Figure Class.

Louisa loves to help others in their health and fitness journey - espeically nutrionally, using her qualifications in the chef and food industry to create and share great tasting, nutritous recipes.

Josh came to CrossFit with a background in Personal Training. He joined the CrossFit Christchurch team as an Intern in 2012 and graduated as a Coach in 2013.

Josh loves CrossFit because of its simplistic approach to fitness, the emphasis on nutrition and real food, and the focus of re-learning basic human movement. Although the super human abilities that are achievable through CrossFit are remarkable, Josh believes that the true heroes of crossfit are the average Joes. The people that turn their lives around through the skills and knowledge acquired within the programme. That’s inspiration!

Riki has been into fitness and sport his whole life. He played Representative Football and Rugby League in High School and carried this on during a 3 year stint in the NZ Army whom he also played Football for.

He was introduced to Crossfit 3 years ago and instantly fell in love with the methodology, army like mate-ship, intensity and variety of training.

Riki loves coaching and helping people get over those Crossfit hurdles they thought they may never achieve.

Robin loves the way CrossFit empowers others to develop their confidence and fitness through functional movement and mental toughness.

She was introduced to CrossFit through a bootcamp held at a CrossFit gym back in Edmonton, Canada. She fell in love with CrossFit because of the community and team atmosphere.

Her athletic background includes CrossFit over the past 3 years, lacrosse, running, swimming and anything outdoors.

She has been an Athletic Therapist for multiple sports teams over the years and also does some Personal Training.

Nick has a passion and eye for movement mechanics, especially in gymnastics. After thorough research Nick joined CrossFit Christchurch to further his fitness, became hooked, and is now a coach!

Nick loves CrossFit because of its diverse and multi-modal approach to fitness. He is constantly seeking to learn new skills, and at the same time, increase his knowledge in coaching.
