Chris started his career as a science student at Canterbury University…

It wasn’t long, however, before he realised that his growing juggling hobby was far more enjoyable than his university studies!

Graduating with a BSc in Biochemistry, Chris immediately became New Zealand’s most over-qualified professional juggler and went on to train extensively in circus skills in both New Zealand and Australia.

Chris discovered his love for CrossFit about 4 years ago and has never looked back.

After competing in a wide range of sports – triathlon, duathlon, cross country and marathon running, volleyball, and netball – I found CrossFit!

I’m feeling fitter than I have done in years – the constant variation and focus on all dynamics of fitness has given me more confidence in myself and my body. I am stronger, faster and more flexible than I have ever been.

The community is what first attracted me to CrossFit Christchurch, and is what makes us stand out. The support and motivation I get from members at CrossFit Christchurch makes me train harder and pushes me to my limits.

I am passionate about helping people gain greater fitness, confidence, and all round health.

Robin loves the way CrossFit empowers others to develop their confidence and fitness through functional movement and mental toughness.

She was introduced to CrossFit through a bootcamp held at a CrossFit gym back in Edmonton, Canada. She fell in love with CrossFit because of the community and team atmosphere.

Her athletic background includes CrossFit over the past 3 years, lacrosse, running, swimming and anything outdoors.

She has been an Athletic Therapist for multiple sports teams over the years and also does some Personal Training.

Josh came to CrossFit with a background in Personal Training. He joined the CrossFit Christchurch team as an Intern in 2012 and graduated as a Coach in 2013.

Josh loves CrossFit because of its simplistic approach to fitness, the emphasis on nutrition and real food, and the focus of re-learning basic human movement. Although the super human abilities that are achievable through CrossFit are remarkable, Josh believes that the true heroes of crossfit are the average Joes. The people that turn their lives around through the skills and knowledge acquired within the programme. That’s inspiration!

Nick has a passion and eye for movement mechanics, especially in gymnastics. After thorough research Nick joined CrossFit Christchurch to further his fitness, became hooked, and is now a coach!

Nick loves CrossFit because of its diverse and multi-modal approach to fitness. He is constantly seeking to learn new skills, and at the same time, increase his knowledge in coaching.

Christina loves seeing both the physical and mental transformations through the World’s Best Boot Camp and CrossFit. Seeing people realise just how capable they are, and their boost in self esteem and confidence is what she’s passionate about!!

She has done the World’s Best Boot Camp - Christchurch and was drawn in by the support and encouragement of the program. The CrossFit Rookies Program also increased her strength and mobility.

She is passionate about people, and likes to tailor things to each person. She likes be organised and create systems to help things run smoothly

Her background includes 13 years in Hospitality as Restaurant and Induction Manager, Studies in Psychology and Education, and Nursing studies.

Jeremy Adams

Jeremy started CrossFit back in early 2016 and instantly fell in love with the sport. He has done a number of sports since he was a kid; football, surfing, skateboarding, wakeboarding, snowboarding and mountaineering. After playing football competively for a number of years he decided to give that up and needed a place to satisfy his competitive drive and decided to give CrossFit a go.

After High School he went and studied at the University of Canterbury and got a degree in accounting and taxation. But he couldn’t resist his passion for health and fitness and so decided to become a coach, joining the coaching internship at CrossFit Christchurch, and became a coach at
the start of 2017. He is currently completing a building
apprenticeship and trains and coaches in his spare time.

What he loves most about this sport is that it promotes and facilitates overall health and well-being, and the super human abilities achieved through the programming.

Elissia started the World’s Best Boot Camp after learning about it at the Christchurch Women’s Expo in September 2015.
She loves how the WBBC takes people out of their comfort zones, builds confidence, and supports them to achieve goals that they did not think were possible.

She wanted to continue on the fitness journey by becoming a WBBC coach to inspire, encourage and support those to find a love and passion for fitness.

Her background in fitness includes sports aerobics and swim coaching

Maxine got into WBBC through her teenage daughter who had joined Troop 013 in October 2015.

Maxine thoroughly enjoyed her 6 weeks and the support and empowerment she got from her fellow troopers encouraged her to want to “give back” and become a coach.

Maxine enjoys incorporating fun and energy into her sessions so you work hard without realising it and leave looking forward to your next session. An accountant by day, she is terrible at counting reps…so don’t be surprised when you an the extra round ;-p

Leigh was introduced to the Worlds Best Boot Camp by her sister at a Bring a Friend event. She fell in love with the community feel and support that she found at the World’s Best Boot Camp

WBBC gave her the confidence to join CrossFit and make a lifestyle change.

She found a passion for exercise and wants to help others achieve their fitness goals and see them succeed.

She finds being a coach very rewarding as you get to help people change their lives both physically and mentally.

Megan was first introduced to the World’s Best Boot Camp Christchurch in 2015 where she was part of Troop 13.
She was so inspired she became a coach to help others become stronger both physically and mentally during the Boot Camp.

Megan loves the community support that WBBC creates and meeting people of all ages and backgrounds. She also likes how the WBBC caters to people of all abilities and fitness levels.

When she’s not coaching, Megan enjoys running in the outdoors, tramping, and rocking out on her guitar.
