CrossFit is revolutionary in that it will change the way you look at fitness forever. Yes it’s that awesome! CrossFit involves challenging the status quo of what is fitness.
Here we cover as many aspects of functional movements (what you’re body was designed to do) and mix in as many elements, with constant variation to create a fitness program that covers as many areas as possible.To name a few you will jump, run, deadlift, squat, push up, pull up and use a multitude of movements from olympic lifting, powerlfiting, strongman, gymnastics and a lot more.Probly the most important points of our program though, is that everything we do is measurable and repeatable, meaning you can literally see how much you’re fitness is imporving over time!
We often hear the statement “I just need to get a bit fitter before I start CrossFit” – this is a misconception. CrossFit is about getting you fitter, faster and stronger no matter what your current fitness level is.
If you haven’t exercised for a few years, or you’re out jogging every day, then CrossFit is for you. We will help you get progressively fitter at a scaling appropriate for you.

CrossFit is infinitely scaleable. If you can’t do the prescribed weights or movements in a workout a coach will help you chose the best scaling for you.
We can have Dan Carter and your grandmother working out alongside each other, doing the same workout, but just scaled differently
How often you CrossFit is dependent on multiple factors. For example, if you play other sports, have a physically demanding job, are recovering from sickness/injury, or want CrossFit to be your primary sport.
As a general rule of thumb we recommend CrossFitting at least 3 times a week. We encourage you to train intensely but also rest periodically as it’s vital to keeping you healthy, allowing you to push next time to new personal bests.
It is important to get any health concerns cleared by a medical professional. If you’re in the all clear then yes, you can still train!
One of the awesome things about CrossFit is that it’s infinitely scaleable. We will never ask you to push through an injury, but we will offer alternative movements.

Our Rookies Program classes are all about, well, building a solid foundation. They are designed to teach you to move safely, efficiently and be ready to participate in our WOD classes.
The course is a series of 8 sequential classes over 4 weeks. There are two different classes each week. Each class builds on the previous ones. By the end of the Rookies Program you will be familiar with over 12 of the most important CrossFit movements.
While we still do lots of teaching in our main WOD and Hitfit classes, the Rookies Program is an opportunity to take some time and really dig into the basic movements. The base knowledge and movements you learn in the course will ultimately help you progress faster once you start joining our main WOD classes.
Yes! You can put your membership on hold.
Memberships can be put on hold for a minimum of 2 weeks at a time, and exceeding no more than 3 months (whether that is through multiple, shorter holds, or a one off 3 month hold).
Memberships can be put on hold if you are going away on holiday, are sick/injured, are pregnant and/or have had a baby.
If you are on a fixed term membership the monthly payments will be processed as originally planned – your hold period gets added onto your membership at its completion

You may, at the sole discretion of CrossFit Christchurch, “put on hold” the Agreement for periods of two weeks or longer, up to a maximum of three cumulative months. “Hold” indicates a hold in the membership, NOT in the Payment & Billing. Billing continues through the hold period, and the hold dates get added to the end of the Agreement. The hold request must be submitted prior to the hold dates (no retroactive holds) and must include an end date (or return date) unless you are injured or sick, or pregnant and/or have had a baby. You may be required to provide evidence (doctor certificate, airline tickets etc). In these cases the return date will be mutually determined based on the recovery and your recuperation. A fee of $15.00 is payable to CrossFit Christchurch for every hold.

Terms and Conditions – Membership cancellation:
On completion, Fixed Term Membership revert to a Monthly Membership. The Monthly Membership will continue until a new Membership Agreement is signed, or your Membership is cancelled with 14 days written (email) notice.
You can request to cancel this contract after the term expiry and after all instalments and fees up until the termination date are paid in full. In order to cancel this Contract you must contact CrossFit ChCh and give 14 days notice in writing (email) of the termination request. Any payments that fall due within this notice period shall be payable in full and you shall be entitled to full use of the Box for any time paid for during this notice period.
You may cancel this Agreement prior to its term expiry only under the following conditions: (1) If by reason of death or disability, you are unable to receive all CrossFit ChCh services for which you have contracted, providing full payment has been made for all services received prior to death or onset of disability (verified by doctors letter); or (2) if you move further than 30kms from CrossFit ChCh, by supplying proof of new residence. You will be refunded any prepaidbalance unused at the later date of either notice or move.You shall not consider that the membership has been cancelled until you have received written confirmation by CrossFit ChCh.

Most new members of Crossfit Christchurch begin with a Rookies Program. This is a 4 week, 3 times a week membership. With access to all classes, the Rookies Program allows members to make sure CrossFit Christchurch is right for them before they take the next step in the fitness journey and commit to a Fixed Term Membership.
The Rookies Program is $179, and can only be bought once.
While you can get into our WOD classes with the Rookies Program, we ask that that you pass a short movement/skill test before joining our WOD Classes. If you are new to Crossfit, then the Rookies Program will teach you what you need to know to pass the test. The Rookies classes include a workout so you’ll get fitter as you learn the basics. If you “need more” though, you can also join into our 30 minute HITfit classes as well.
Fixed Term Memberships can be renewed.
